Susan Young

Susan has made her home in the peaceful mountains of Western North Carolina since 1992 where she has assisted her husband in the running of their home remodeling business. She has built 4 homes and renovated another, always taking an active part in the design and building of these homes. From hanging ridge rafters to laying hardwood floors, she has gained a great deal of respect and understanding of what goes into a well-built home. This love of homes and home construction is what led her to become a Real Estate Broker and later a General Contractor. She is active in canine sports, competing with her golden retrievers and organizing obedience trials as well as serving on the board (past treasurer) of the Sandlapper Golden Retriever Club. She is also a stained glass artist taking much pride and satisfaction in designing and creating glass art that is often donated to benefit rescues and canine health research. Since starting her Real Estate Career in 2003 Susan has won many sales awards and more importantly to her, several Quality Service Awards. For several years she was Broker in Charge of a small office, managing 9 other agents. Feeling the need to get back to what she loves about real estate, she is now concentrating on her clients and their needs as a Broker Associate. Susan says she chose to work with Sterling Real Estate Partners because of their willingness to embrace technology and think outside of the box with marketing, as well as their stellar reputation in the Asheville and surrounding markets. She specializes in Residential Homes, Small Farms and Land Tracks with a particular fondness for Vintage homes. Also, as a dog trainer and an artist, she has been especially helpful to people with the same interests as their space requirements are often a bit different. Her general contracting background assists her in seeing when space can be adapted for other uses. With both sellers and buyers, she recognizes the unique needs that many of us have for our homes.
